Can we have alcohol in the building?
Yes, alcohol is permitted in the building as long as it stays within The Living Room event space. Host Liquor Liability insurance must be held by either the vendor hired to provide alcohol or the event hosts. Sale of alcohol requires the event to acquire a Liquor License in compliance with the state of Nebraska.

Are there waitstaff and a bartender on staff?
We do not provide event staffing, but we offer flexibility to choose your own vendors so you can find the right solution for your budget and aesthetic!

Do you provide catering services?
No, The Living Room does not provide food or beverage services. You are welcome to hire any vendors of your choice for these services. We are always happy to make recommendations!
You may also choose to DIY one or both of these services. Please note, you may need to carry additional insurance in this case.

Do you provide event setup / tear down?
Planning of a fully customized floor plan as well as set up and tear down of any items you have reserved via The Living Room is included in your event rental. You and your vendors are responsible for any additional set up and clean up. If you would like additional assistance you may choose to add our Day of Coordination Services.

Are there any photography restrictions? Am I free to take pictures anywhere in or outside the building?
You are free to take photos anywhere you like within the public space of the Mastercraft Building and its surrounding areas.

Do you provide trash / recycling bins / dumpsters onsite?
Yes, we provide bins, liners, and dumpsters for your convenience. We have the ability to recycle cardboard, paper and mixed materials.

Can we have a portion of our ceremony or reception outside?
Yes. We have a landscaped outdoor area, The Terrace, that is available to you with The Living Room rental. Additional charges will apply for setup and rental.

Do you have on-site event coordinator?
Our Venue Manager is eager to help you with all things that involve The Living Room. An Event Attendant will be present the day of your event to answer questions and maintain care of the building (restroom checks, addressing spills, a/v troubleshooting, check in with vendors etc).
The Event Attendant does not run your timeline or provide planning services. We do offer Day of Coordination at an additional cost to aid in these services if you prefer!

Do you have a liquor license?
No, The Living Room does not hold a liquor license. This means you cannot sell liquor on the premises unless you obtain one for the event, as per the city ordinance.

What is the rental fee?
Our prices range from $900-$5000. Small Private Parties begin at $900. Intimate Weddings start at $1500 while full scale weddings range from $2800-$5000. Premium dates, such as-but not limited to, dates during the College World Series, holidays, and days surrounding holidays, rent at higher prices. Are there any setup restrictions at The Living Room?
No nails, screws, staples or penetrating items should be used on our walls or fine wood unless previously cleared with the venue manager.
Any tape or gummed backing materials must be properly removed and any wall damage will be deducted from the deposit.
No glitter or foil (paper or non-paper) confetti is allowed on site.
When decorating the antique arch, no additional screws or adhesive may be added. We have installed hardware to assist in the attaching of florals or decor.
Candles with live flame are permitted as long as anything larger than a tealight is contained within a face or floating in water. No live flames may be placed on the floor. If you would like to line your ceremony with candles, ask us about renting our in house flameless LED pillar candles.
